“….in divinity opposites are always reconciled.”
– Walter M. Miller Jr. –
Saint Leibowitz and the Wild Horse Woman

So much is written on Empaths and Narcissists, the givers and the takers/receivers, the twin poles of the same magnet. Opposites attract and givers need takers and takers need givers, it is the flow of the multiverses, opposites seeking balance – equilibrium.

What is not covered in any great detail is the opposites within – the narcissist hidden under the sheep’s clothing of the Empath. Givers, as a generalisation need to give to feel valued, to feel of worth. Does that not make them takers in disguise? Most empaths are not comfortable looking too closely at their own dark inner secret. Considering their own needs seems a foreign concept. It is easier to create Facebook groups and hang out together whinging about being taken advantage of. It is simpler to embrace their kindred spirits and talk about how wonderful they are and how bad and naughty the Narcissists in their lives are, totally avoiding the fact that they attracted to themselves the energy that would bring balance. I must point out strongly here I am in no way supporting abuse in any form. If there is abuse one needs to find the courage and a way to get out. Not always an easy path.

The narcissist also has a hidden dimension – the suppressed or buried Empath. Due to the nature of human behaviour Empaths constantly give to the Narcissist, the taker/receiver, creating an energy flow where there is no need for them to unlock their light side – the Empath.

How many takers are overgrown immature Brats, spoiled rotten and disempowered by over caring parents and guardians trying to protect their little darlings? Yes they were doing their best, but sometimes our best is not good enough.

Until the givers can find balance and reconcile with their own taker, the cycle will continue. Until the takers are cut off from their source of free energy there is nothing to benefit from by changing. There will always be a mommy or daddy to serve their frail egos and power trips.

Quetzalcoatl is a primal idea of the duality of human nature.
The serpent is the embodiment of Heaven and Earth.
It scares people in many ways.
– Robert Graham –

Within the light that we offer the world is a touch of darkness, in the darkness there is light, it is the way of duality. Ignoring our demons only feeds their frail ego and supplies them oxygen. Paying attention, becoming aware of the devil in the detail we become whole, more complete. The giver no longer needs the taker and vice versa.

To bring about balance – to stop attracting Narcissists the Empath needs to look within , rediscover the taker – the receiver and nurture that part of themselves. It comes down to accepting of our dualistic nature and stop giving for reward and pay off – and begin to give to self. This starts the journey into a truer self love, improving our undeservability and unforgivably issues.

As long as we give too much someone will accept the free lunch. Although it is not free is it? The cost is high on our value as a Divine Spark of Light. How can we Shine our Brightest if we are Out of Balance.

The heart of a human being is no different from the soul of heaven and earth.
In your practice always keep in your thoughts the interaction

Yin and Yang

Did you notice number 12 in both? On both sides of this relationship magnet lies severe insecurities, Fears that run our lives. Due to the nature of reality we express our polarity as an Empath or as the Narcissist. It is our inner demons, our fears and limitation that create the imbalance in this drama of give and take, the victim and the rescuer. Dig deep enough and we find victims playing two different roles, but still playing the same game – the pursuit of Love.

In this mystical Energy Dance one of the polarities will be the Giver, the other, the taker/receiver, even if both started out as a pair of Empaths or Narcissists. We attract those people and events into our lives to give us the chance to express a higher form of love. The Empath, a higher form of Love of Self. The Narcissist, the higher form of Love of Others.

Transactional Analysts speaks of the triangle – victim – persecutor – rescuer where the victim or the rescuer will create a situation so they can fulfil their own victim or the rescuer script to meet their own needs.

In the inner dance of give/receive we play both roles, knowing which one at which time gives us control over the way we interact in the outer world.
