Much of the information in my book Kissing the Black Dog is about creative solutions for changing our lives. While  focussed on helping those with depression, anxiety, bi-polar and other stresses the contents can benefits anyone leading a normal life. We all focus too much on what is not important and most of us suffer from  the feeling we are not important. When we look at How to Win Friends and Influence People and the myriad of other self help books, including Kissing the Black Dog, most of the content is teaching  the skills to make ourselves gain a feeling of importance . We learn what to do to get others to like us.

What if we have it around the wrong way, and we need to de-programme ourselves from trying to fit in and focus fully on feeling important and never deviating from that path?

What if all we need to do is every day, is look for and enhance the things that make us feel important?

We are social creatures and can not survive without the efforts of other people, the animals and plants we eat and the planet we are trying to kill. The one area of our lives we can master is taking control of our addiction to feeling important and valued. We can master our own fears and limitations and the need to be accepted and accept ourselves.

Read Kissing the Black Dog, it has tools that can help us all break our addictions and take ownership of our own lives and follow in the footsteps of those grate who have gone before. Motivational Kinesiology balances are also a helpful way to come back into alignment with our highest and best qualities.

From when we first wake in the morning to our last thoughts as we drift off into our dreamworld, give full attention to feeding our  self belief and build a neural network in our body that are geared to recognising our core value, with no need for outside approval.

The need to fit in and seek approval leaves us open to be exploited my the sociopaths, psychopaths and those with narcissistic personality disorders.  we need to address and balance the giver and the taker in our own lives so that we can see the predatory nature of the multitude of takers that feed off the unwary.

Deal with inherit human fragilities of focussing on what is wrong and needing approval from others and rebuild the core values that make us who we are and fulfil our destiny on this planet. As mentioned there are many great books to help us, we simply need to work with the material to strengthen our inner self belief and move away from the addiction to approval from without.

Like the kangaroo in the above photo, it is time tostep out from behind the bush and be amazing.

Enjoy the journey.
