Many ancient traditions view dog as a  guardian and friend. They are attributed the qualities of loyalty, trust,  fun, obedience, playfulness. Dogs are social creatures, they are pack animals.

Dogs bring joy and happiness to into our lives, they are always excited to see us. There bountiful energy inspires us.

Dogs love touch, patting a dog makes us feel better, it gives us that contact we all crave. For many it takes the place of hugs or the human physical touch that is missing. Someone who has been abused, physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually can be healed by the gentle touch of dog energy.

Dogs love to play, chase sticks, balls, anything, yet not always bring it back. Those that love water, love to swim or chase waves.  Some dogs will go till they drop.

Dogs are loyal, The movie Red Dog, displays this beautifully. Dogs will offer their lives to save others and many children have a dog to thank for being alive today.

Dogs know when we are sick and where the problem is, they will come and lay on the part that is unwell, even if it is our head.

Dogs teach us the power of discipline, if we are not the boss, they will take the lead. They are like children in that way, someone has to lead if we won’t.

Dogs are emotionally honest, a dogs judgement about someone is always worth considering.

Dogs know how to have fun.

Dogs know how to  feel good all the time.

Dogs do best on a healthy diet, lots of pats and an abundance of true love.

Dogs are always there for us, no matter how shitty we are, they always front up with a wagging tail.

A wagging tail always invites friendship

Dogs forgive us our trespasses into our darkness, and do their best to lead us back.

Dogs love, it is intrinsic in their nature.

Dog energy is about being loyal and true to ourselves and learning to be there for others. Much of todays mental/emotional stress that is labelled depression and anxiety may simply be dog energy reversed. To much focus on ME! ME! ME!.  Might be time to change our focus and get more real.
