I came across an article today talking about the zodiac and a 13th sign. While i appreciate some people do not believe in that stuff, bear with me, i am using it to develop a point about our nature.
When i looked into the article it changed my sign from Gemini to Taurus. Me a stubborn bull, never! I like must people i have read and pondered the meaning of the characteristics of being a certain starsign.
The same can apply to physiological assessments where we label ourselves or are labeled to fit into a system.
When we read these character traits, how often do we begin to conform to what is said. Consciously or unconsciously we take in the information and begin to act on it. We conform, many due to a need to understand ourselves and make sense of our world and ourselves.
What would happen if right now you stopped reading went off and read up on the 13 zodiac signs and found the correct one for you?
How would it change your perception of yourself?
How would you view your relationships?
Would you feel cheated, deceived?
While i use the starsigns as the example, everyone in our lives create a picture of who we are and who we should be and projects it back to us. Often without realising it we begin to conform to their view and start acting as if that is how we are.
We attach a lot of importance to our name, marketing and sales people know this and manipulate it to make us feel important. Some go as far as to change their names to one more spiritual in the hope it will change them. Yes the vibration of the name will be different, we will still be who we are. Names do not define us, our behaviour and character does.
The only true way to know ourselves across the full palette of our human experience is to in fact experience all our emotions in the kaleidoscope of the colours of our life’s journey.
When we begin to turn inward and trust our intuition, or inner voice can we begin to truly understand our true nature. While we may still bend our reality to fit into the our world, we do so from a position of power, not from a position of powerlessness.
Who we are is who we choose to show the world. Yes, outside influences contribute to the expression of ourselves. We only need to recognise of behaviours as coming for without and modifying where necessary.
We are more powerful than we can imagine. Do we have the courage to dive into the rabbit hole and discover that greatness.
Kissing the Black Dog or having a Motivational Kinesiology session may help you find you!
In closing, am i a Gemini or a Taurian? Does it matter? We are who we choose to be in each moment. When we link with our heartspace and have the courage to live our lives from integrity we begin to be our true selves.
