Writers, artists of all colours and flavours are familiar with that space where their creativity curls up and disappears into some secret hidden place in the time/space continuum. We are left dry and barren, devoid of the rich tapestry that inspires and nurtures our soul.

Depression, anxiety and stress are similar creatures, an energy space where we lack colour, vision, inspiration and the creative spark, the magic that draws to us the wonderful inexhaustible wellspring of joy and happiness. Could all these negative mindset symptoms be a case of a Creative Block, the dreaded Writer’s Block.

If one looks closely, the similarity of the dried up river of our imagination and creativity has the same uncomfortable resistance to the flow of the positive, energetic, live magic of our inspired selves that smoulders within the negatively charged, depressed, anxious, stressed out soul. The same limitations exist, the lack of potential, the grand view is lost in our over focus on our inner pain and disbelief.

How do we get the juices flowing to write, paint, sculpt, build businesses, nurture love? Making the effort to drink water, improve our pH balance, stop and breath, take in good life giving full deep breath’s is a good start. Walk, run, cycle or swim, what ever best suits your nature, get moving, get the muscle stretching and the heart beating. Feel the flow of energy surging through us and begin to feel that inner awakening. Nurture our body to nurture our soul.

Change our thinking from focussing on the problem and think, act and feel fully from the place where solutions grow. There is always another way to do something, another perspective.

Solutions are easier when we choose to feel good now and not waiver. Using the Motivational Kinesiology Integrated Movement Technique is one useful way to integrate the mind, body and soul. When both sides of the brain are connected and the muscles can let go of tension the amount of noise reaching the brain reduces, making it easier to relax. Posture improves which can improve oxygen absorption as the lungs can better expand.

The pressure we apply to ourselves can be the catalyst for the Creative Block to cement itself into our thinking and clog up the creative pathways. Once we feed the negative mindset it begins to grow and multiply. one thought gives birth to another, which reproduces and continues to pollute of minds with what we do not want.

Next time we feel depressed, anxious or our creative flow has turned to a parched riverbed, reassess the situation and take constructive steps to move into a better feeling space and lift our vibes to a more feel good now tone.

Both Motivational Kinesiology and Simply Love It are useful tools for clearing depression, anxiety and other stress related blocks and opening the floodgates to our creative genius.
