Lessons are everywhere when we have the eyes to see and ears to hear. Sometimes the best lessons come from learning from other people’s mistakes.

Sometimes our lives can be far easier if we take the time to watch and listen to people who are focussed on what they don’t want. It helps us clarify what we want. That is always the first step to having the life we desire, Knowing What We Want. Without it we have no map, no guidelines to work within.

Say you want to be better at sport, yet you sit at home on th computer or watching TV when you would make better use of your time out on the track or in the gym.

I learned a lot about being bullied and the force of negative anger by observing a neighbour. They presented a calm, peaceful, spiritual persona, until someone took away one of their toys or did not comply with their rules. When the real demon in sheep clothing presented itself. Emotionally violent and abusive, they would shout down anyone who was not of their thinking.

My personal lesson was to realise how i submitted my authority in the face of this violence. I learned to stand up. take ownership and not get caught up in their childhood unresolved pain. It may seem odd but i am grateful for the lesson.

A friend drinks to much  saves us going down that track and looking like an idiot.

Learn from other people’s mistakes, we do not have to try every option presented to us.

Focus on what you want and work towards it, watch and listen to others who have what you don’t want and avoid the same mistakes.
